Irvine, Calif. – Wide-format imaging leader Roland DGA Corporation has announced the addition of new Orange and Red inks to the family of specially formulated, GREENGUARD Gold-certified ECO-UV 5 (EUV5) inks available for the company’s advanced VersaUV® LEC2 series roll-to-roll UV printer/cutters. The new Orange and Red options widen the EUV5 color gamut significantly, enabling LEC2-640 and LEC2-330 users to target previously unreachable colors.

Roland DG’s fast-drying, durable EUV5 inks, including the new Orange and Red formulations, deliver unsurpassed image quality, vibrant color, and exceptional detail. They are also uniquely designed to adhere to a wide range of coated and uncoated media, including foils, paper, clear film, and vinyl.

“The availability of Orange and Red EUV5 inks opens up new creative opportunities for LEC2 users,” said Jay Roberts, Roland DGA’s product manager of UV printers. “By widening the gamut, they further increase the color capabilities of our next-generation UV printer/cutters, allowing for incredibly realistic, eye-catching prints and making it easier than ever to hit specific brand colors.”

In addition to the new Orange and Red options, EUV5 inks are available in CMYK, Gloss, White and Primer. Together with Roland DG’s new True Rich Color II print setting, these inks produce stunning graphics, with neutral grays, smooth gradations, and natural skin tones. The on-board Primer allows for even better adhesion, while the Gloss ink makes it easy for users to incorporate unique textural and dimensional effects into their prints. The higher-opacity EUV5 White ink is even more effective than previous formulations when used as a base coat or when printing on transparent film or dark paper.
